Hmmm, that title now made me think of the movie Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer, but that’s a whole other story. Tonight of course was Rockaroke night at the Yucca Tap Room in Tempe, and I managed to drag another one of my friends along. This week since school is back in session it was *packed*. There was also dancing, which made it MUCH better.

It took me awhile to get a book, and after a coin toss, I decided on Radiohead’s Creep. I got the count messed up at the beginning but still managed to finish okay. Got a lot of “you’ve got a great set of pipes” compliments afterwards so at least I didn’t completely blow it. I promptly put in the other one I was stuck between, which was Alannah Myles’ Black Velvet. Just to let you all know… LOVE that song with a passion. One of my favorites! It was starting to get really busy so I was pretty far down the list.

So then it’s my turn again as they announced that song and wouldn’t you know, some other chick steps on the stage??? What????? What???? WHAT????????

Seriously????? She really stole my song?

I’m not two so I didn’t make a scene about it. I can say though I would’ve rocked that song. She, on the other hand, didn’t know the words and did some “song motions.” Fantastic. After that there was no way I would have a chance to be on stage again so I headed out.

Next week, it will be my song. You should all be there. Not just because of me, but because it’s honestly one of the best parts of Phoenix that I think hardly no one knows anything about. Who’s in next week? I’m not joking!
